Offered Spine Surgery in Mexico: How Jaime Avoided It With Diamagnetic Pump and MBST Therapy

Spine surgery proposed in his home country. A flight to Madrid as a last alternative. And a noticeable improvement in just one month.

Jaime Cárdenas Gracia arrived at Clínica Capón, in his own words, “almost without hope”. In Mexico, doctors had proposed surgery: the damage to his lumbar vertebrae was significant and the canals of his spine were blocked. It was his wife and several close friends who suggested he look for alternatives before undergoing surgery, and Clínica Capón was one of them.

When the spinal canal is compromised, surgery isn’t always the only way out

Lumbar vertebral damage with blocked spinal canals is a description consistent with severe canal narrowing — the type of case that, in many healthcare systems, is referred straight to surgery by elimination, without first exhausting other options. Jaime found a different approach at Clínica Capón: exhausting conservative treatment with advanced technology first, before accepting surgery as the only path.

Diamagnetic Pump + MBST Therapy: two technologies, one goal

In his review, Jaime is explicit about the treatment: “the clinic uses advanced physiotherapy techniques and combines them with the use of diamagnetic pumps and MBST resonance (osteospin)”. The Diamagnetic Pump works by reducing inflammation and stimulating cell regeneration in the damaged area, while MBST Therapy works at a deeper level, regenerating bone and disc tissue. Combined, they attack the problem from two different fronts instead of relying on a single approach.

Under the direction of Alvar Capón and the work of the whole clinical team, Jaime noticed improvement after just one month of treatment — the same amount of time that, in his home country, he had been told would be a preliminary step before surgery, and which here became the actual time of his recovery.

Have you been offered spine surgery without first exhausting other options?

When the diagnosis points to a compromised canal, surgery can seem like the only way out. It isn’t always. At Clínica Capón, we first assess whether there’s real room for conservative treatment with advanced technology before taking that step.
